It’s said you need to hear something at least three times before you’ll remember it. The Energy Efficient Home Article Team thinks people need to hear Dennis Crooks’ definition of an energy efficient home until it sinks in. That is why we have placed it in this month’s e-zine. We would like it to be the universally accepted definition: “The energy-efficient home acts as a smooth-functioning machine in which the equipment produces as much, if not more energy capacity than needed to operate the ideal human environment, including air quality, moisture conditions, temperature and lighting. The ideal energy-efficient home retains the best environment for human habitation while minimizing the cost of energy.” That about sums it up for those of you seeking to understand in simple terms what an energy-efficient home is.
